Arsenal 2-1 Chelsea: How the mighty Arsenal shot down Chelsea to become Champions

Arsenal started the FA Cup clash against Chelsea on the back foot, with Chelsea dominating the early proceedings and quickly going ahead after just six(6) minutes through American sensation Christian Pulisic after which Aubameyang would miss a clear chance to put the game level.

Ivory coast star, Nicolas Pepe would have a goal disallowed for offside but Aubameyang would not be denied minutes later as he converted from the penalty spot after a mix up in the Chelsea penalty box.

Arsenal would go from back foot to front foot as the Gunners began to dominate proceedings as the first half wore on but there was to be no more goals before the break.

The second half returned more like the first half with Chelsea dominating the early proceedings but Arsenal had other ideas as they’d quickly reclaim control over the match and put Chelsea on the back foot.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang would put the Gunners in front off a beautiful pass from Nicolas Pepe and from them on, things could not get better for the visitors from the bridge.

Chelsea had a man sent off when Matteo Kovacic was sent off albeit arguably too harsh but one which nonetheless could very well be deserved. The Gunners had a lot of defending to do in the closing exchanges but did that to near perfection.

Behold, your FA Cup Champions…Arsenal Football Club!
