Arsenal have been pursuing a deal for Atletico Madrid’s Thomas Partey for a long time now but to little success so far. He has been on the headlines of every transfer rumour with talks of a move to the Emirates hovering continuously.
Thomas Partey is yet to sign a new deal and is reportedly keen on move, however, Atletico will not let him go for anything under their reported €50million valuation. Reports surfaced last week that the Spanish club had rejected an offer of Matteo Guendouzi plus cash believed to be around €25million for the Ghanaian.
According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal is now exploring the possibility of other options with a deal for Thomas Partey seemingly too expensive. The alternative being muted is Abdoulaye Doucore of the just relegated Watford FC.
Doucore could be available for around €25million, with Watford having failed in their attempt to beat the drop and now face undervaluation and mass exodus of their players.
Abdoulaye Doucore may not have been the name on everyone’s radar but he will nonetheless represent a stellar signing with the player having proven his mettle already in the Premier League.
