Arsenal in talks to sign Dijon goalkeeper
Arsenal have opened talks with French club Dijon over a potential deal to sign goalkeeper Runar Alex Runarsson, according to the Telegraph.
The Gunners are in search of a new back-up to first choice Bernd Leno with Martinez set to be sold to Aston Villa for £20million.
And they have identified Iceland international Runarsson as their prime target.
Arsenal had originally targeted Brentford’s David Raya, but the Championship club’s asking price proved too steep.
Arsenal agree Lucas Torreira sale deal
Arsenal have reached an agreement to sell midfielder Lucas Torreira to Serie A club Torino, report Calciomercato.
The Gunners are willing to let the Uruguayan leave for a fee of around £22m, and it seems their demands have now been met.
Terms were reportedly agreed this morning, but the player’s contract details still need to be worked out before the transfer can be completed
Torino are expected to pay the fee for Torreira in stages, and are financing the deal by selling defender Armando Izzo to Roma.
Torreira’s stay at the Emirates looks set to come to an end, just two years after he arrived from Sampdoria.
Arsenal interested in Brazilian starlet
Arsenal are interested in a move for Fluminese striker Marcos Paulo, who has a £40 million release clause in his contract according to Brazilian newspaper
The report also claims that The Gunners are joined by Premier League rivals, Leeds, Southampton, Watford and West Ham in the race for the striker’s signature.
Arsenal closing in on Aouar
Arsenal are reportedly set to complete the signing of Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar in the next few days.
The talented 22-year-old has been strongly linked with Arsenal by L’Equipe, as translated by Get French Football News, and it may be that they’re now stepping up their interest.
According to Don Balon, the Gunners have decided to make an offer to meet Lyon’s £60million asking price for Aouar, and that a deal could be days away from completion.
