Arsenal hold an interest for AS Roma midfielder, potentially in a swap deal

Arsenal hold an interest for AS Roma midfielder Amadou Diawara, potentially in a swap deal for Lucas Torreira, according to reports.

Sam Dean of The Telegraph reports that Arsenal have clarified their interest for Roma midfielder Amadou Diawara, following comparable reports in Italy. The potential exchange is still in the beginning phases, with nothing formal yet.

Roma aren’t especially quick to sell the 23-year-old. They’re in a solid position as well, allowed his four-year contract with the club.

So maybe the most ideal path for Arsenal to persuade them to let Diawara go is to offer a substitution. As indicated by Alessandro Austini of Il Tempo, that is what they’re doing.

Austini claims the two clubs are thinking about a Diawara-Torreira trade bargain. There’s likewise the potential for Justin Kluivert to join the exchange. With Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s future in Rome still not last, that is another negotiating advantage all the while.

As referenced in the piece on the Telegraph site, it appears to be really clear this is an elective marking to Thomas Partey. Diawara is a fundamentally the same as profile of player, but somewhat more youthful with less experience. It’s surely difficult to see Arsenal going for both.

Given Atletico’s hesitance to engage any proposal for Partey with the exception of his delivery statement, Arsenal may well beginning looking somewhere else.
