Arsenal superstar Bukayo Saka has been nominated for the PFA Young Player of the Year award. The other nominees are Tammy Abraham, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Mason Greenwood, Mason Mount and Marcus Rashford.
The 18 year old enjoyed a breakthrough season at Arsenal in the 2019/20 campaign. He scored four goals and provided eleven assists in 38 appearances across all competitions for Arsenal last season. No Arsenal player provided more assists than Bukayo Saka last season.
He played on the at left back, left wing back, attacking midfield and even on the attacking wings in a couple of games.
Saka’s future was the matter of concern at Arsenal earlier in the year. He had one year remaining on his contract and there were fears he would leave the club. He ended those fears by signing a long term contract with the North London side.
The Arsenal academy graduate has taken over the number seven shirt this season. He was impressive yet again in Arsenal’s victory over Liverpool in the Community Shield. He provided the assist to Aubameyang for Arsenal’s goal. The Gabon international’s finish was sublime but the pass wasn’t far behind. Saka still got a very long way to go and we wish him best of luck.
