Since the arrival of Mikel Arteta, a number of first team player have recieved a major boost and resurgence in their forms, players like Granit Xhaka, Shkodran Mustafi and for sometime David Luiz.
Contrary to the aforementioned phenomena, some players have also been taken aback by the new head coach amidst a depletion in playing time. Chief among such players is Mesut Ozil, with the German completely ousted from the first team. Other of such players include Matteo Guendouzi and Ainsley Maitland-Niles.
Reports surfacing today claim Arsenal have told Maitland-Niles that he will be sold in the summer should a buyer come for his service, in other to raise much needed transfer funds.
‘The Telegraph’ report that Maitland-Niles has been told by Arsenal that he will be made available for transfer this summer in order to raise funds for a club which finds itself in a difficult financial situation although it would be Arteta’s preference that the young academy graduate stayed
Maitland Niles has been a very useful utility player and has capably filled in on various positions and he would undoubtedly be a great loss but of course Mikel Arteta knows best and we only have to watch and see.
