Arsenal morning news headlines ….
Donny van de Beek is reportedly poised to remain in the Premier League should he quit Manchester United this summer’s transfer window, according to a recent report.
The Netherlands international struggled in his maiden season at Old Trafford, starting just 15 games across all competitions after joining in a £35 million deal from Ajax.
He continues to be linked with a transfer away from United, with Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal apparently willing to offer the highly-rated player a lifeline.
Italian champions Inter Milan are also said to be in the running to sign the 24-year-old star, as are a couple of unnamed Spanish outfits.
However, FCInterNews suggests that the London-based club are the frontrunners to land the former de Joden prodigy as he wants to stay in England.
The Red Devils could still demand a large sum for the midfielder as the midfielder has another four years on the current deal signed last September.
Elsewhere, William Saliba could reportedly look to secure a permanent transfer away from Arsenal if the Gunners’ pursuit of Ben White proves successful, according to a recent report.
Brighton & Hove Albion defender White was allegedly the subject of a rejected £40m bid from the Gunners earlier this month, and Mikel Arteta’s team are believed to have come back with a £45m offer.
