Fiorentina increase Lucas Torreira bid

AFC Fiorentina have been in the hunt for Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira for quite some time now, with the player reported angling for a return to Italy according to Alfredu Pedula

The Armenia midfielder had his contract with the Gunners terminated by mutual consent, allowing him to join the Serie A club on a free transfer.

A statement from the Gunners read: “Everyone at Arsenal thanks Micki for his contribution to the club and wishes him all the best for his future with Roma.”

Mkhitaryan began last season at Arsenal, playing in three games before joining Roma on loan in September.

He scored nine goals and contributed five assists in 22 Serie A appearances during the 2019-20 campaign

Arsenal interested in Diawara, says agent

The 23-year-old midfielder has been linked with a summer move to the Gunners, who are short of midfield options.

Dani Ceballos has returned to Madrid after his loan spell at the Emirates, while Matteo Guendouzi continues to be frozen out by Mikel Arteta.

Diawara made 30 appearances in all competitions as Roma finished fifth in Serie A last season.

His agent, Daniele Piraino, insists the player is ‘happy’ in Rome, but is ‘liked by many clubs in England.

According to Alfredo Pedulla, Dani Ceballos return to Arsenal will be announced today with negotiations expected to be finalized.

Negotiations were o for a while and Madrid having already rejected three bids, look set to give positive feedbacks.
