Arsenal transfer target Philippe Coutinho was another star name missing from Barcelona training on Monday after the high profile absence of Lionel Messi.
All eyes were on the first training session held under new manager Ronald Koeman, who has a job on his hands to turn round the fortunes of the Catalan side.
Argentine superstar Messi has told the club he wants to leave and that he now does not see himself as a Barcelona player.
However, other key players in Barcelona were also missing form the first training session, in fact up to 18 players were not present.
And one those players was Brazilian midfielder Coutinho, who is back in Barcelona after his season loan at Bayern Munich .
The midfielder enjoyed a successful time in Munich, winning a treble that included a Champions League triumph that came after beating Barca 8-2 in the quarter-final.
While his time with Baryern Munich went well, they decided not to pursue their purchase option and instead he has returned to Spain.
Coutinho was not seen at training he has been given some extra time off by the club due to his involvement in the Champions League final just abcouple of weeks ago.
