The transfer mill continues to churn out news and speculations and here is your most current headlines.
Boost for Arsenal in Coutinho Chase
Arsenal have been handed a boost in their reported pursuit of Philippe Coutinho.
The Gunners have been heavily linked with a move for the former Liverpool attacker, with a potential loan move from Barcelona being mooted.
Coutinho’s time at Barcelona since his 2018 move from Anfield has no been a success and he has spent this year on loan at Bayern Munich.
Despite nine goals in 35 appearances for the German champions, his stint at Bayern has proved to be hit and miss.
Arsenal’s hope of signing the player depends on if Bayern decides to let the player go which, according to reports in Germany, is the case.
Arsenal could move Lacazette
Alexandre Lacazette could leave Arsenal this summer as the north London club look for ways to reduce their wage bill.
According to The Athletic, Juventus are one club who would be keen on taking the Frenchman off Arsenal’s hand.
The Old Lady, who recently appointed Andrea Pirlo boss after Maurizio Sarri was sacked, are looking to bolster their attacking options going into the new season.
And, they’d reportedly be happy to offload a player from their arsenal to sweeten the deal.
The three Juve stars on the chopping block, who could sign for the Gunners as part of a player-plus deal, are Gonzalo Higuain, Douglas Costa, Cristian Romero.
Arsenal target Promes
Arsenal is targeting a move for Ajax winger Quincy Promes, according to reports.
The Gunners are already closing in on a deal to sign Willian on a free transfer from Chelsea.
But Mikel Arteta is looking to bolster his attacking options even further in the transfer window.
And according to The Sun, Arteta is keen to bring Promes to the Emirates Stadium this summer.
The 28-year-old moved to Ajax from Sevilla for £14 million last summer and scored 16 goals in his debut campaign for the Dutch club.
Arsenal look away from Partey
With Arsenal struggling to pull the finances together to fund a deal for Thomas Partey, they are looking elsewhere and they now know the price they will have to pay if they want to acquire Danilo Pereira from FC Porto.
According to O Jogo (via Daily Mail), the Gunners will have to pay around £27m if they want to buy the 28-year-old.
However, this valuation has not gone down well with the north London side, who only want to pay a maximum of £18m for the Portugal international.
