Arsenal given Aouar deadline
Arsenal have been given their clearest message yet in regard to their pursuit of Houssem Aouar with Lyon setting a date for all their outgoing business to be complete.
Lyon club president Jean-Michel Aulas stated that any current players who have not left Lyon by Friday [October 2] will be remaining at the club.
Considering the transfer deadline is not until next Monday [October 5], this ultimatum gives the Gunners three less days to finalise a deal for the 22-year-old.
Arsenal pursuit of Aouar has, however, picked up pace in recent days with Aulas himself acknowledging their interest in the midfielder.
Partey fee update
Atletico Madrid are reportedly demanding an upfront fee of £45million for Thomas Partey.
The Athletic say Atletico will now reduce that fee which could be an issue for Arsenal who, of course, are also keen on Lyon’s Houssem Aouar.
