Arsenal are very interested in the signing of Lyon’s Houssem Aouar with Mikel Arteta keen on bolstering his midfield as the Premier League season looms closer.
Arsenal have been linked more prominently to Thomas Partey with negotiations having been going on for the past couple of weeks and Atletico rejecting all of Arsenal advances for the player and remaining adamant his release clause be met.
According to the reliable Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal are absolutely interested but nothing advanced yet.
Fabrizio Romano said,
“They are absolutely interested. Monitoring the situation. Nothing advanced. He’s a top player.”
“They have spoken with his agent. Again – they need to sell. Nothing less than €60million [£53.4m].”
“He’d be one of the best signings this window.”
Apparently and according to various reports, Lyon have passed a message that they will not waver from their €60million valuation of the player and Arsenal will again have to stump up big to get their man.
