Partey tables wage demands, Arsenal not after Coutinho, and the Latest Transfer Updates

Partey tables wage demands

Arsenal transfer target Thomas Partey is reportedly looking for a £200,000-a-week deal if he moves to the Premier League this summer.

Atletico Madrid ace Partey is wanted by Mikel Arteta but carries a £45million release clause which the Gunners are reluctant to activate.

Offers of swap deals involving the likes of Alexandre Lacazette and Matteo Guendouzi have reportedly been knocked back with Atletico adamant that Partey will only leave if his clause is met.

The midfielder, meanwhile, is said to be demanding big-money to head to Arsenal, with The Athletic claiming he wants a £10.4million deal.

Arsenal not Chasing Coutinho

Arsenal have reportedly cooled their interest in Barcelona playmaker Philippe Coutinho.

The Gunners are have been heavily linked with the Brazilian but recent developments mean they are not trying to sign him.

“We know that Arsenal have been offered Coutinho in the past and quite possibly recently,” The Athletic’s David Ornstein said.

“We also don’t know how this window will develop, things can change at any moment. But, as things stand, it’s not a player that they are pursuing.”

Arsenal serious over Gabriel

Arsenal are serious in their pursuit of Lille defender Gabriel Magalhaes, according to The Athletic’s David Ornstein.

“Arsenal’s interest is credible. They do like him a lot,” Ornstein said.

“He’s been high up on their scouting reports for a long time now and it would be a deal potentially that Mikel Arteta would like to do to bolster Arsenal’s defence.”

Gabriel made 24 appearances in Ligue 1 last season, scoring once.

Trabzonspor interested in El Neny

Trabzonspor are deep into negotiations for Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny, according to Turkish outlet Asist Analiz.

Elneny spent last season on loan at Besiktas but Trabzonspor boss Eddie Newton is keen to bring the 28-year-old in on loan next season.

Personal terms for the Egypt international have reportedly been agreed

Arsenal target Aouar could leave Lyon this summer

Juninho, Lyon’s director, admits Houssem Aouar could leave this summer as Arsenal circle.

The in-demand midfielder is rated at £42million and is also linked with moves to Manchester City or Chelsea due to his impressive campaign at the heart of midfield.

Asked about Aouar’s future, Juninho told RMC Sport: “When you have great players in the squad, it is quite logical that other bigger teams with greater economic power come to seek the players. There is a risk of losing important players.

“If we lose important players, I have already spoken with the president, we will have the right to balance the workforce.” he concluded.
