Phillipe Coutinho’s Bayern Munich’s campaign came to an end on Sunday with a Champions League win as the German club defeated French champions PSG to scoop gold.
Phillipe Coutinho had previously stated he would only talk about his future after his campaign is over as he wanted to focus on the teams goal of winning Europe’s most coveted trophy. After the final win, the player was then quizzed on his future.
“I haven’t thought (about it). Now I have to go back to Barcelona; I want to work hard to have a great year. I don’t know if it will be there (Barca) but I want to work hard.”
Now according to Spanish outlet, Phillipe Coutinho would prefer a move to England than a return to Barcelona, with the player not convinced of Koeman’s project amidst uncertainty at Barcelona over transfers and also over the future of Leo Messi
Philippe Coutinho is more interested in returning to the Premier than playing for Barcelona. One of the possible destinations is Arsenal as Coutinho’s agent maintains an excellent relationship with the London club. Ronald Koeman will speak to him next week, Marca reports.
Mikel Arteta is thought to be keen on the Brazilian and would do anything feasible to bring him to the Emirates.
