Paris Saint-Germain is turning away from its interest in Arsenal unwanted midfielder Matteo Guendouzi as it has reject the opportunity to sign the youngstar according to a report from the English-based sport newspaper.
Arsenal is looking for a buyer for Guendouzi as it looks to part ways with the midfielder. The Frenchman is seen as a talent but not part of manager Mikel Arteta’s plans for the upcoming season.
As a source in England report alluded to, Arsenal recently engaged in talks with PSG over a possible transfer deal for the French midfielder. But the Ligue 1 champions have decided not to pursue a deal and instead turn its attention towards Arsenal right-back Hector Bellerin. PSG will remain in contact with Arsenal over a possible Bellerin deal while the Gunners look elsewhere to offload unwanted Guendouzi.
PSG had recently considered signing Guendouzi to add to its midfield depth. According to an August report from Football London , PSG was monitoring the situation between Guendouzi and Arsenal. But at the moment, the club is not planning on completing a move for the unwanted Arsenal talent. Instead, PSG officials will continue to search the transfer market for midfield depth.
