Matteo Guendouzi has been ousted by Mikel Arteta from the first team, amidst talks of a fall out in relation to behavioral indiscipline from the young Frenchman and is now being put on the market as Arsenal seek to do away with him.
According to ‘Footmercato’, Unai Emery wants Matteo Guendouzi at Villarreal having signed him during his stint at the Arsenal helm. Initial discussions have started between both parties.
Villarreal however, hope to take Matteo on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season but that may very well stall a deal as an underwhelming season may drop his value which Arsenal cannot risk.
Discussions are still on and a deal may be reached in coming days.
